Since Frozen’s release in 2013, Disney has prolonged its runaway hit through a Once Upon a Time season arc, the animated short Frozen Fever, and a forthcoming Broadway show. But no word on a sequel, until today: At its annual shareholders meeting, Disney officially confirmed Frozen 2.
Writer-directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck will return for the sequel—along with, presumably, Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, and Josh Gad.
Gad was present at the shareholder meeting with Disney CEO Bob Iger and Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios chief creative officer John Lasseter, who said:
We enjoyed making Frozen Fever so much and being back in that world with those characters,. Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that.
And then Kristen Bell tweeted this cuteness:
Dreams really do come 2!!! #FROZEN2 #itsofficial pic.twitter.com/qF6qTQlnqi

Disney has also released the new single from Frozen Fever, “Making Today a Perfect Day,” so you’ve got a new potential earworm in the meantime:
